Taj-ul-Masjid : By far the most impressive piece of work, the towering edifice was commissioned by Nawab Shah Jehan Begum (1868-1901). Said to be the biggest mosque in the country, it draws devotees from all over the world during the three-day annual Ijtima congregation.
Other architectural gems include the Jama Masjid, Moti Masjid, Shaukat Mahal and Sadar Manjil and Gohar Mahal.

Chowk : The Chowk area in Old Bhopal is framed with old havelis and mosques. A walk through the narrow alleys of the area reveals  traditional Bhopal crafts - silver jewellery, embroidered and sequined velvet/satin batuas (purses) and tea-cosies.

Bharat Bhawan : A centre for performing and visual arts, it houses a museum of arts, an art gallery, a workshop for fine arts and a library.

Van Vihar : Children will enjoy Van Vihar, the safari park that shelters animals in their natural surroundings. There is also a modest aquarium in the city.
