Lal Niwas Phalodi
Lal Niwas, built in 1750 is a splendid example of a heritage haveli, with intricate jalli work in red sandstone. Situated in the picturesque, historic town of Phalodi in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Phalodi is also renowned for its 300 years old Jain and Hindu temples. An imposing haveli, Lal Niwas basks in a traditional setting replete with terraces for parties and banquets, a library with books and manuscripts, all belonging to princely times, and a courtyard that reminds one of an era of bygone grandeur, which is now a venue for musical concerts and other shows.
