Fernhills Palace, Ooty
Fernhills Palace is situated in Ooty, the Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu. It is spread over 50 acres of land with sprawling lawns, beautiful gardens, dense forests, rich and stunning views overlooking lush green valleys and tea gardens. The palace, superbly finished with Burmese teak, features a magnificent ballroom with a high valued ornamental papier-mache ceiling. This has two overlooking galleries, one veiled with lace curtains for the ladies of the household and the other for the court orchestra.
