Getting There
The Chalets at Naldehra is near Shimla in Himachal Pradesh in North India.
By Air: The closest airport is at Jubarhatti, 45 km away.
By Rail: The nearest railhead is at Shimla, 23 km from Naldehra. Since one has to change trains at Kalka to narrow gauge for Shimla, a more preferable option is taking a cab from Kalka as it takes less time.
By Road: The route from Delhi is on the NH1 via Sonepat, Karnal, Ambala, Zirakpur, Panchkula, Kalka, and Shimla.
Things to do
Tattapani Hot Springs - Situated on the right bank of river Satluj, Tattapani is just 30 kms from Naldehra, along a road winding through the scenic countryside. The hot sulphur springs here, are noted for their invigorating and curative powers.
River Rafting on River Sutlej - Go for river rafting on the Sutlej River, down at Chabba upto the sulphur springs at Tattapani. Trained river running guides conduct the rafting trips. Mashobra, (Craignano, Bekalty Road, Shali Peak) - Pine and oak woods frame Mashobra, 12 km from Naldehra.
Sipur - This is a large and exquisite glade shaded by ancient cedar trees. Streams of cool water gently divide it. The temples on the edge complete the pastoral picture.
Naldehra Golf Course - Just 300 m from The Chalets is the 18-hole Naldehra Golf Course. At a nominal green and caddy fee, anybody can play here.
Kufri (2622 m) - A little hamlet, just 16 km from Naldehra, offers views of the countryside and the majestic Himalayan Mountains. The winter sports capital, Kufri is the focal point of a large number of ski enthusiasts who come here to enjoy the ski slopes. Here one can experience a rare Yak ride and visit the mini Zoo to view some rare Himalayan wildlife.
Fagu (2,509 m) - 22 km from Naldehra, Fagu is a vantage point with panoramic views of the ranges and valleys. Picturesquely located amidst forests and orchards, it is an interesting village. Narkanda (2,708 M) – An enchanting 64 km drive from Shimla, brings you to Narkanda, which is a popular skiing resort in winter. Narkanda is well poised to hold out some of the finest views of the inner Himalayas.
Chail - 45 kms from Naldehra, Chail is the erstwhile summer capital of The Maharaja of Patiala. Visit the highest cricket ground in the world situated here. Lunch at beautiful Chail Palace hotel before taking some memorable pine scented walks through unending dense forests.
Shimla - Spilling over the steep slopes of a 12 km ridge, in the lower Himalayas, is Shimla (22 km from Naldehra), the summer capital of erstwhile British India. Now the capital of the state of Himachal Pradesh, it evokes a sense of nostalgia with its pretty gabled cottages, half-timbered buildings and old churches.

Each log cottage or chalet is quaint with a bedroom that opens into a living room with a working fireplace and extends into the dining room. However only the staircase winding up into a second bedroom with sloping roofs completes the romance.
